The Governor released his final May Revise yesterday and it is absolutely, utterly ridiculous. After 7 years of failed gubernatorial leadership, the challenges we’ve face have compounded, the problems we’ve identified have gotten worse, and instead of moving forward into a new century, our state stood still.
Imagine if for the past 7 years we were aggressively cleaning the air and water to reduce asthma, reducing greenhouse gas emissions so the heating of our planet, the acidification of our oceans and the rising of sea levels was slowed just a single degree, ph Level or inch, and funding education so those 5th graders in 2003 who are now graduating from high school in 2010 believed they could access and afford our state colleges and universities?
